Kaixo! (Hello in Euskera)
Greetings and welcome to this second episode of this save with Barakaldo.
Transfer deadline is just before the next game, so it’s time to make a couple of final bids.
These two are very interesting:

Born in Pamplona, Navarre. Just released by Real Madrid, played in the Basque Country national team in a friendly in 1998.

With the matches I already played, I picked up enough money to make a bid for Mikel, which is 325K.
But unfortunately, he chose to go elsewhere.

The good news though, is that no one is asking to leave the club and we don’t have any offers for our players, so until the transfer market opens up again, we are cleared.
Game 7
Barakaldo 2 – Orense 1
A bit of rotation for this one to keep my players happy.
Lineup changes:
Luis Fernando Dadie for Domingo Larrainzar
Pedro Matxon for Iñaki Aldaur
Agustin Exposito for Xabier Pantzeska
Oscar Alkorta for Dani Alonso

3rd win in a row! We harassed Orense through the entire match, and had a lot of efforts on goal but Ramon Ruiz Fernandez was on top form. In the 66th minute, we finally broke through, courtesy of a a header by Exposito.
Game 8
Xerez 3 – Barakaldo 1
Lineup changes:
Xabier Pantzeska for Agustin Exposito

We were given a reality check at the Olimpico de Chapin. Despite having a player sent off very early, the advantage wasn’t such and we find ourselves 2-0 down at half time. Movement on the bench made little difference as we go further behind in the 57th minute of the game.
Game 9
Barakaldo 0 – Toledo 1
Lineup changes:
Asier Ipiña for Aitor Begiristain
Raul Calle for Jon Zamarripa
Agustin Exposito for Xabier Pantzeska

We lacked a cutting edge here and even I went all in by making three substitutions, we couldn’t change the result.
Game 10
Hercules 1 – Barakaldo 1
Our next adversary hasn’t lost a game yet, 9 out of 9. I wonder if we’re going to be their first real challenge or they will just get past us

A pretty good half where we make a strong push and eventually Exposito founds a goal. Just a few minutes after the start of the second half, Hercules found their way into our net, and then proceeded to haunt us in order to get the victory, which Sangroniz denied. It’s a good point we collect from the visit to the Rico Perez stadium.

Game 11
Barakaldo 1 – Eibar 1

During the week, we had a couple of unfortunate injuries

Game 12
Extremadura 0 – Barakaldo 3
Lineup changes:
Pizo Gomez for Pedro Arozarena
Iñaki Aldalur for Pedro Matxon

Surprisingly enough, we managed to put 3 goals into the back of their net. Anyway, the man of the match was our GK, who had 2 key interceptions and held a clean sheet.
Game 13
Barakaldo 4 – Atletico Madrid B 1

We fly out of the traps as Gurria gives us a quick-fire lead and we’re 3-1 up at half-time. Zamarripa adds a fourth in the closing stages of the game and our supporters go home happy with the good display of football they just witnessed.
Before wrapping up this episode, let’s take a look at the standings as of now:

Not bad at all. Just a win from fighting for the top spots of promotion
That brings this episode to a close.
See you next week where we will cover from matchday 14 to 20. See ya 🙂
